1 August 2009 - Operation Suspended!
Dear Sir/Madame: After 27 years public service at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and spending nearly two decade at abroad, working at Turkish missions (1992-2004 Turkish Consulate General in Chicago and 1981/1986 Turkish Embassy in Dublin) I had retired. After my retirememt I decided to set up an international trade/business consultancy services business in Turkey, providing mainly U.S. and international businesses with the services noted below. 1. Foreign Direct Investment: there are plenty of incentives waiting to be taken advantage of by small to medium-size U.S. companies. I plan to inform them of the possibilities for joint ventures and the advantages of investing in Turkey. I will function as their main point of contact in Turkey. 2. U.S. Importers/Exporters: those who seek to import Turkish products but do not know with whom they are dealing. In this regard, I can act as their contact person again, as well as to act as their Buying Agent. I can also play various roles for U.S. exporters in the Turkish market. In this regard, I may be a good candidate for U.S. firms seeking a Turkish representative. I may act as their agent and investigate potential within the Turkish market for their products (such as government procurement and buying programs). They would handle tender. This may be more practical and profitable since the risk (miscellaneous tender expenses) is minimal even though direct investment could also be a big advantage to them. Entering the Turkish market this way may also provide them with the advantages of direct investment. As a matter of fact, Sir/Madame, when and/or if a business is interested in a particular sector, I will work with partner(s) currently enmeshed in that sector. I have partners in the following sectors, all of whom are currently in business and experts in their respective fields: -Money and Financial Markets -Medical equipment -Textiles (Women, Men, Ready-to-Wear, Home Textile, Towels) -Olive Oil, Olives and Vegetable Oil -Confectionary and Food (Jams and Jellies, Turkish Delight, Honey) -Cosmetics --Liquid Soap -Mining Sector -Energy sector and Renewable energy -Coal Industry and Coke Production Sector -Construction Sector -Stone and Marble sector -Cement Industry In due time this list can be enlarged up to 80 different sectors. The above sectors are my current strengths, especially medical equipment, olive oil, cosmetics, textile (ready wear and shirts) and Construction and money and financial markets. If there is any interest, I can handle requests as an experienced person in these fields. 3. Turkish Exporters (small and medium-size): those seeking foreign markets are also another opportunity. I am planning to act as their international marketing consultant, providing and promoting their product not only in the USA but also in Europe and the Middle East. 4. Offering mediator (legal) services for business-/trade disputes: I am certainly not a legal advisor, but a long time a friend of mine has a law office and specializes in business-trade law, as well as patent and copyright law. Since he is bilingual, we can also handle such services. As well as foreign business entities various inquiries such as owing the real estate, translation services etc. With this opportunity I would like to extend my best wishes for your well-being and continued succes. Kindest regards,
Saban Ozdemir
